What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us, plus basic technical information needed to run the site.

• Book a demo form: your name, work email, hotel name, number of rooms, phone number with country code, and any message you add.
• Waitlist: your email address and the product you are interested in (the Guest App).
• Messages you send us by email, and the details they contain.
• Technical information: when you visit, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of the request.

We do not ask for payment details, and we do not intentionally collect sensitive information. Please do not include it in your message.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not track you across other websites. Fonts, images and videos are served from our own site, not from third-party services. If we add analytics or other cookies in the future, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.

How we use your information

• To arrange and run your demo, send you a quote and answer your questions.
• To tell you when the Guest App launches, if you joined the waitlist.
• To keep the website secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
• To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Our legal bases

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: taking steps you ask for before entering into a contract (your demo request); our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, running and securing our website and growing our business; your consent (the waitlist, which you can withdraw at any time); and compliance with legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting and email delivery, under contracts that require them to protect it.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or users, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business, in which case the information stays protected by this policy.

International transfers

Our service providers may store or process information in other countries, including outside the country where you live. When that happens, we use the safeguards that applicable law requires, such as contractual protections.

How long we keep it

• Demo requests and related emails: for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a customer, in which case our agreement applies.
• Waitlist emails: until the product launches and we have told you, or until you ask us to remove you.
• Server logs: for 40 days, unless needed longer to investigate a security issue.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example in the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, the European Union, the United Kingdom or Saudi Arabia), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email us at hello@thehotella.com. We will reply within the time the law requires. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) to this website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This website is for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If the changes are significant, we will make that clear on this page.
